As a company committed to providing quality work to our customers, we are always taking the necessary steps to ensure that our staff is made up of the most knowledgeable professionals in the field. At the end of March, four of our staff traveled to Webster, New York to attend a intensive 2-day certification program organized by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). This group was made up of members from both our installation and design teams, ensuring that our hardscape projects are overseen by certified professionals from start to finish. ICPI Installer Courses are offered throughout the year in various locations and is offered through the sponsorship of ICPI paver manufacturing members. Courses are offered in a classroom setting that promotes networking and personal interaction with instructors and other participants. All courses conclude with an exam and those participants earning a passing score on the exam will receive a Record of Completion.
The two-day classroom based course equips individuals currently employed in the concrete paver installer industry with classroom training to properly install interlocking concrete paving systems. This course course provides classroom based training in residential paver installations and covers some of the hottest topics in outdoor living space design and construction, specifically specialty applications such as raised and multi-level patios, fireplaces, fire pits, grills, outdoor kitchens, pool decks and permeable interlocking concrete pavement.
Upon completion these four added to our existing staff of certified nurserymen and hardscape professionals. We are proud to be able to meet and exceed industry standards and continue to encourage all of our staff to pursue their professional development.
